i took the picture of the turtle at the top of this page recently while i was hiking. it was clearly determined to climb to be on top of that fallen branch, and i couldn’t help but smile as i cheered it on while documenting its journey. i realize that this turtle probably couldn’t really have cared less about my encouragement, but i hope that if we connect, my enthusiasm will be meaningful to you : )
